Description

This unit allows students to perform three experiments and model them using appropriate software and analytical techniques. There will be a thermofluids, a solids/materials and a dynamics experiment for each student to engage with. The experiments will teach the students about the difficulties of acquiring meaningful results. Students will learn about validation and the issues involved in producing a useful model of an experiment. Most importantly, they will learn the importance of acquiring a solid theoretical knowledge to be able to interpret experimental and numerical data.
